History of Berkshire Hathaway

The history of Berkshire Hathaway company dates back to 1929. It was the time when Berkshire Cotton Manufacturing Company and Valley Falls decided to merge and named the newly founded company as Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates.

However, the company again went through another merger in 1955. This time it merged with Hathaway Manufacturing Company. The company was given a new name Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

Taking advantage of this situation, Warren Buffet bought the shares of the company in 1962. He soon realized that the situation is not going to get better.
